Bio
My Story
Using my years of experience caring for and training a wide variety of species from birds to big cats, I have transferred my skills in training wildlife to my lifelong companions, horses. I have a degree in Animal Science with a minor in Captive Wild Animal Management. I was a zookeeper for several years, have experience working with wildlife in Africa, veterinary technician experience, rescue/shelter experience, equestrian experience, and more. From equine physical and mental welfare, to positive reinforcement training, my focus is always on building a positive and results-driven relationship. Positive reinforcement coaching in person
My clients are my number one priority, and my services prove just how committed I am to their success. I meet you where you are. I come to you and your horse and work on behaviors in your environment. Each session is tailored to the immediate needs of you and your horse. Virtual consulting
My consultations are customized to meet the specific needs of each client. I talk you through what behaviors are important and how to train those behaviors with positive reinforcement. Board and train
For a few select cases, I do offer board and train. Horses will board at Rising Star Ranch, in Lee's Summit, Missouri and receive positive reinforcement training from me according to the package you choose. My packages are focused on short, frequent sessions to complement the most efficient learning process and allow for latent learning. Training is dependent on the equine's needs. Online courses
If you want to learn more about positive reinforcement horse training but don't exactly need the one-on-one virtual consulting, this is the option for you! I have several self paced, online courses you can purchase to get started. This is the best way to get a solid foundation before jumping into training with your horse. I also periodically offer pop-up courses on varying subjects, so keep an eye on my social media to attend these. Virtual courses are by far my cheapest option!
