Hi, I’m Abigail.
I help everyday horse owners achieve a collaborative and joyful relationship with their horse using the science of positive reinforcement training.
Not a lot of horse trainers start out as zookeepers, but that’s where my story begins…
I have a degree in Animal Science and have worked with a wide variety of species —including wildlife in Africa and big cats in the United States as a trainer— and that’s where I fell in love with the art & science of how animals learn.
I utilized only positive reinforcement training and as a lifelong equestrian, I started to wonder why this method wasn’t being used more in the horse world. I started experimenting with R+ training at home with my own horses and saw the impact right away!
Fast forward a few years
…and after working at an R+ rescue facility training horses and giving lessons, I decided to dedicate my career to helping other horse owners learn the power of positive reinforcement to improve their relationship with their horses and achieve their training goals.
